Understandable, but if I were to use this application, I'd want a profile separate from my Signal profile. If I have to use my phone number, wouldn't that make it impossible to do so if it uses Signal's network and all?

Right this is meant to be replacement for Signal. You can always get another phone number and use it on Radar.
That's unfortunate, I like Signal and wouldn't want to replace it but I'd love to use Radar alongside it if that's ever an option. If not, I still wish the best for the project!
