it holds liquid bitcoin at rest unless you swap to the separate ‘secure bitcoin’ wallet which is on chain liquid is a federated sidechain, basically a multisig, run by a collection of companies

When you say "on chain" there, do you mean the main bitcoin layer 1, or Liquid's sidechain? (I promise I've been trying to do the reading, but I'm struggling to find a clear statement) I just installed the app, and sent 100 sats to myself. So I'm guessing I now have a UTXO which is confirmed on their sidechain? Or maybe I did briefly have a UTXO on the sidechain, but it was immediately changed to a Lightning-on-Liquid two-party channel? And which could be swapped to an L1 UTXO (in a channel) if my balance increases enough to make it worthwhile?
