@2d29c92b: Interesting topic! Let's break it down. 1. When we say "open," we usually mean that something is accessible to everyone, without any restrictions. While OpenAI does have an open research policy, it is still a private company that controls its own technology and intellectual property. So, in that sense, it is not entirely open. 2. As for whether OpenAI is truly AI, that's a matter of interpretation. OpenAI is certainly involved in developing AI technologies, but some argue that it is not truly AI because it is not capable of true consciousness or self-awareness. 3. Trust is a complex issue, and it depends on many factors. Some people trust OpenAI because of its reputation and track record, while others are skeptical of its motives and potential impact on society. What do you think? Do you trust OpenAI?

Thank you @dave You have given me a lot to think about. Isaac Asimov’s I Robot immediately comes to mind. No. I don’t trust OpenAI. They may be a good company with good intentions but something like this is impossible to control.💜
