And here I thought it was exponential functions or risk evaluation that people were bad at.
I understand entropy at a bàsic level pretty well but I struggle understanding entalpy. Can anybody explain it to me?

Not sure why you're asking about enthalpy in the context of entropy. It's been a while for me, so hopefully this makes sense. You could think of enthalpy as the capability to do work. So when it's written as U+pV, pV is the capability to do work. You can see it by looking at the dimensions, pV is dimensionally equivalent to F*∆x, which is the usual definition for work done for solid objects.
