Total bot f* fest out there. Thank God for WoT and paid relays. Comment-spamming bots, follow bots, scraper bots creating a gazillion and one subscriptions… etc, etc, etc.
I honestly thought Alex Gleason was spineless for calling the cops on a "security researcher" during the Reply Guy incident. I still think the whole mandatory NIP-05 and domain-level blacklisting stuff is a bad idea.
But… one year later, I kinda get it 🤣. The Nostr ratio of script kiddies per dev + sysadmin makes running nostr infrastructure a tiresome experience. It's a constant battle between trying to be fair to new users and blocking the rubbish.
