For now.
And even so, most people will opt for the ease of the ID.
A key component of resisting this in the median to long term needs to be shifting public sentiment. Shift the overton window.
Also note states already moving on to enhanced ID which bundles enhanced biometrics.
Aside from freedom tech and btc, what other tools do you see being effective in resisting, subverting, or delaying this?

I'm not sure. Not an easy ride to get off of.
I think using your passport for travel is the best option and put off getting a real id license as long as possible.
