I would love to stumble upon a visual economy simulator that shows this theory. The Reserve Bank of New Zealand has (had?) a machine called the MONIAC, a mechanical water based machine that simulated the economy. It's easy to overlook things and misunderstand when you don't have a self-consistent complete theory, and there are a lot of levers and buckets 'n stuff.
