You know, many of us tried to be good middle-of-the-road moderates, arguing that unreasonable use of powers and censorship would backlash once the political winds turned. We were spat in our faces, called racist and all that and did their darndest to smear, censor and deplatform us.
I've tried my best to be a reasonable man for three decades. Even before WWW forums were a thing. I argued patiently, very very patiently, when my opposition was fiery and anything but reasonable. I was belittled and vilified at every turn for my efforts.
I'm gonna watch now as the chickens come home to roost. Probably have a cold one, too.
