Nothing is stopping it. However, for mass adoption to take place it would need to be more perfect than Bitcoin.

This is what normies fail to understand and would not want to acknowledge. To them, it is always possible to have something better than Bitcoin, which is yet to be created.
Not sure if we could have another money more perfect than having a limited supply and bounded by energy.🤔
Normies would not understand the difference between Bitcoin and say Bitcoin cash.
