I believe in intelligence when it is understood as that which organizes the many into one. Justy as it organizes 1 to 30 trillion cells into one individual human body, similarly it organizes human populations into culturally (think polis, i.e., city) like minded actors.
What do we call those actions within this type of complexity that are not intended on the becoming of one? Without those actions which some call destructive, it cannot grow (think change).
The forces at work today that are intent on 'e pluribus unum' depend on the 'God We Trust'. Not to say that is a bad thing.
