privacy is a fair reason, especially since the only decent option is meta quest, apple just doesn’t have any apps/games yet & the rest of them are bit niche.
my mom also hates vr but for different reasons, she says this feels very dystopian, she says this is not the future she wants to see, where everyone is just on these glasses 24x7. i am acceleration, but i understand her perspective.
