Got another hike in at the Grand Canyon south rim. Started at Hermit's Trailhead and made it down to the fork (7 miles down where Hermit meets Tonto) before I had to turn back. Just barely caught the last bus back to the parking lot.
It was quite the exhausting learning experience. While I was never close to running out of water or food, by canyon hiking standards I'm very much flying by the seat of my pants.
More thought will go into my next canyon hike in terms of preparation.
