I didn't see the announce. I wonder if they're going to do NFC, for those little square tabs, or just QR codes for the screens?
I haven't been following the status of NFC, but I know people have proposed things...

NFC will be the game changer in the medium to long run for payments but QR codes are the current best approach for mobile wallet payments these days
(but everyone should be looking at NFC as the future payment gold standard and paying attention to the Apple and Google NFC decisions/updates)
