Yes, but shutting down the project isn't the only thing they can do. Nintendo will ruin devs & players lives with lawyers if they feel like it. They've been on a rampage lately. I'm not saying this will happen, but it's something to be aware of if you are using there trademarks and intellectual property. Search for "Nintendo lawsuit" and get comfy 😂
