nostr can be confusing to those unfamiliar with it
nostr:nprofile1qqs9xtvrphl7p8qnua0gk9zusft33lqjkqqr7cwkr6g8wusu0lle8jcpzemhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuurjd9kkzmpwdejhgqgkwaehxw309aex2mrp0yhxummnw3ezucnpdejqxmmtnn has created a wonderful UX and I recommend it to all newcomers
I don’t use nostr as a typical social media tool, I use it as a comms layer for nostr:nprofile1qqstmq34sjd7m600yzkrvfafjwfzeyuttckgmd5xx7556gvc0h7cv4gpr4mhxue69uhhyetvv9uju6n0dphxu7tpwdskuar0wvhxxmmdqyxhwumn8ghj7mn0wvhxcmmvaqcp90
I only follow nostr:nprofile1qqstmq34sjd7m600yzkrvfafjwfzeyuttckgmd5xx7556gvc0h7cv4gpr4mhxue69uhhyetvv9uju6n0dphxu7tpwdskuar0wvhxxmmdqyxhwumn8ghj7mn0wvhxcmmvaqcp90 (central) and active orange operators
I use the app to receive broadcast announcements from central, to send or receive encrypted direct messages with operators, and to send/receive sats (small fractions of bitcoin)
I send sats to central to support projects
I receive sats from central for work done
I vote on proposals with sats
I don’t scroll feeds, I only check the platform once a day or when I’m inspired to post a note
Hope this helps others who are struggling to navigate nostr and understand the utility of it
