I remember Gary back in the early days of web 2.0, when he got a start promoting his dad's wine shop. He's somebody who just focuses on working on the apps that work for him and not somebody who fights against the platforms. He's not here because of the protocol, or the freedom, he's here because he thinks divine is a potential important social platform and it happens to use Nostr. Come for the silly videos and stay for the freedom. #growNostr

To be honest... this doesn't make me excited. Maybe he brings traffic, but hopefully not the internet marketing bro hype culture with him. Haven't followed him in years, though he's been an inspiration at various stages for me. I actually met him at Powell's bookstore in Portland 16 years ago, when he was on the cutting edge leading this social media movement. Cringing a little to share my 24-year-old Bulgarian self with broken English talking about it here... but hey, I was just finding my way like so many others. 😃
