Hey btw - I believe we need to schedule a Plebchain Radio show. 👀 Let me know if you are still able to commit to an episode. 🫂
December 22nd show would be a beautiful date to recap the year. Your commitment to the protocol hatched so many of us. 💜
let us have a private conversation about zaps you may not be seeing the full picture
@jack zaps will stop your heart if/when you are handling #bitcoin you have six months from yesterday to fix this problem june six two thousand twenty four sign of the devil ;)
@jack you are quite welcome at any point in time before your deadline to come see me just send me an email dumb dumb (respond to one of the ones i sent you)!
oops i mean from today i won't tell you that i love you, but i do"!"
same. though i do get that we're setting up new users for failure if they can't zap, because they don't know anything about bitcoin. i'm still for a way to give new users a few sats, even if it's 10 sats as part as the onboarding process, to allow them to send a couple tiny zaps.
Maybe referrals using sats. Not sure where they would be “held” but if I refer my friend to a nostr client and they sign up they get the sats. It would be a pay it forward thing. I would only give sats to a specific person. No faucet to abuse.
my mind missed the last sentence completely, that’s an interesting solution 🤔 one-time referrals, not bad, would like to see this discovered further
Yeah exactly. I can see some client using a bot to hold the sats in escrow and it looks for an npub created with a referral link and then as soon as it detects a it can send those sats it will send them. Probably a lot to be discovered in doing this in a clean UX. Like getting the referred user on a lighting wallet, a quick start “what the hell is this?” Etc.
