One thing you need to do rn is make so you can turn off auto translate in Amethyst. Auto translate should also be off by default in private chats both nip 17 & Concord. That is a serious vulnerability & it affects everyone in the group

Translations are local. There is no vulnerability
I was told it was google. If its local thats not a big problem although I dont completely understand why you can't turn it off. wouldn't that make it a little lighter?
It is Google. But it is also all local. And no, the translations are super light already. We could add a setting to disable it, but nothing will change.
You can try the Fdroid version that doesn't even have the translation dependencies. Both use the same amount of battery.
Ok thanks for clarifying. It just looks kind of bad if you think of it being non local google
