Technically absolutely! Politically not so much.
we'll get there.. not us necessarily, but i think you're right and we're on the way. there will be resistance, of course, but it's hard to argue against it.
We also have the ability to do a direct democracy instead of this "representative" version.
People should just decide where they want to put their money, I am not too optimistic with all that democracy stuff. Like you pay a guy to do something, I he doesn't do it, he doesn't get paid. No need to micromanage everything. We don't do that for other stuff as well

It's also perfectly possible to collapse them all through peaceful resistance and noncompliance.
That is, until they leave people no other choice.
