I do this every night, but the getting up is for the reason of peeing.
This is a rabbit hole I am excited to go down. Thanks for sharing!
This is exactly how i sleep since living on the btc standard. Back to nature
The fun part is that some of the documentation comes from old court records that mention aspects of biphasic sleep in passing, apparently assuming it was normal
Artificial lights and work shifts
In the hunter gatherer days our sleep cycles naturally fall out of alignment, that way there's always someone awake keeping watch at night.
I found out by ready Matthew Walkers 'why we sleep' that this actually isn't true. We do sleep naturally in a biphasic pattern, but that means one long period of sleep and an afternoon nap. Not two distinct 4 hours sleeps.
10-12 of darkness and expensive light makes biphasic sleepers of us all
I usually take my dog for a 15 min walk in the middle of the night since he canβt hold it all night.
