Jpegs have been stored on Bitcoin since inception, It's just been treated as spam since inception. Is it still being treated as spam? Maybe. The more important part to impress on people is that we need a functioning alternative to core - as optionality breeds free market of ideas actually proliferating.

Do you mean the whitepaper? Yes, but have you seen how complex that was to do πŸ˜‚ Also, I think we all appreciate the whitepaper being stored on the blockchain itself. Agreed about diversity from core, but also for me it was about transparency. The fact that the core devs weren't prepared to discuss it with us was their biggest mistake IMHO. I still don't fully understand the argument nor fully know which informed choice I would make. All I know is I don't have an informed choice, because Core won't inform me.
Not the whitepaper, actually just arbitrary bullshit. This has been going on for a lot longer than most people realize πŸ₯². Like I said this has less to do with this specific change & moreso just a need for us to catalyze a secondary option. You're achieving this by promoting knots.
We define spam as all non-monetary use cases, since inception - re: since Satoshi. Whether we can sustainably fight it off completely is a contentious debate that cannot be had in earnest until emotions are stabilized again.
