I have firefox installed literally only for this, for nos2x. And now I have Amber (which I got for pairing with Citrine)
So now I have my seed in 3 places.
Amethyst which I popped it in first.
Nos2x
Amber
Why can't Amethyst just act as a signer?? @Vitor Pamplona #asknostr
Keychat supports Amber.
Put your key in Amber. Use it to sign in to everything else.
Hadn't heard of keychat yet. What's that for?
will lO;.;Ok @ th@ t *Y* Ryan/*
It's what he was talking about in the OP. A browser with built in Nostr signing support. You can sign into Keychat using Amber, so it doesn't even have access to your keys.
Most Android apps support Amber too, so there is no need to spread your keys around.
try nsec.app
Well sure, problem is I got Amber last not first... Generally speaking a new nostr user will just put the nsec straight into their first client. Or even have the client directly produce it. Chicken and egg ya know
Nothing stopping you from doing it now. Then your key is safe from future bugs in every app other than Amber. There are other signing apps as well, Nowser & Aegis, but I prefer Amber.
Meaning log out of Amethyst. Remove nsec. Then log back in with Amber. Fair enough
