I've read lots of John Locke. Yes, skill and hard work are essential for building generators and power lines, but essential services shouldn't be run purely as profit driven businesses. Just as we use public funds to build roads or supply clean water without turning them into predatory monopolies, the infrastructure to harness God given energy should be managed as a public good to serve everyone. It's currently being used to extract wealth.
