Well I don’t know how far to go back or what basics you need to know, but Canada has a parliamentary democracy and most of the power resides in the major city centers in the middle of Canada along the Laurentian corridor. Typically these larger centers vote Liberal, while the provinces west of Manitoba typically vote Conservative, along with northern British Columbia. The maritime switch back and forth between them. There are two major parties, Cons and Libs, with the NDP and bloc making up the rest. To simplify things, and because most people know of the parties in the US, in relation to the politics there the Liberals have historically been center left, cons center right and the NDP far left. But with Trudeau’s liberals they have moved a lot further left and have basically poached all of the NDP voters while still maintaining their base. The largest populations are in the center of the country in Ontario and Quebec and they will determine the outcome of the election.

That’s the exact same thing my wife says to me when I try to show her how to load the dishwasher 😂
I should have responded propepely. I think a 10x on my money seems fairly reasonable. This is going to be a gut-check reactionary swing back to a con majority. Poilievre by franaphone last name should take Quebec.
Fair enough. My take There will be no Carney Regime, just as there was no Campbell regime. We are going to get 1-2 terms of con majority as the Treudea burnt the party to the ground holding power. The promise of UBI will be the next step into power for the Libs
