I don't know who needs to hear this, but there is so much money to be made on the Canadian election on Polymarket.

curious about the election in general
where should i start, i know nothing atm
I have no idea which way this is going to go.
What do you want to know?
tad bit of history, general vibes and what both of them stand for

what’s not priced right?
There's some locks, but since you're not hedge fund.
Poilievre will be PM 4:1
Cons majority 10:1
Cons popular vote 3:2 (absolute cake)
Seems reasonable to me
CPC majority is, in reality 50/50. It's priced 10:1
Well I don’t know how far to go back or what basics you need to know, but Canada has a parliamentary democracy and most of the power resides in the major city centers in the middle of Canada along the Laurentian corridor. Typically these larger centers vote Liberal, while the provinces west of Manitoba typically vote Conservative, along with northern British Columbia. The maritime switch back and forth between them.
There are two major parties, Cons and Libs, with the NDP and bloc making up the rest. To simplify things, and because most people know of the parties in the US, in relation to the politics there the Liberals have historically been center left, cons center right and the NDP far left. But with Trudeau’s liberals they have moved a lot further left and have basically poached all of the NDP voters while still maintaining their base.
The largest populations are in the center of the country in Ontario and Quebec and they will determine the outcome of the election.
Turn off the CBC sir

Dude come on, I don’t even know how to use that thing. I’m old.
Laurentian corridor, give me break lol
ohh, really interesting
thank you so much 💜
That’s the exact same thing my wife says to me when I try to show her how to load the dishwasher 😂
😂😂😂
it wasn't meant like that and you know it sikto
Of course, but it’s funny, and that’s what is most important
she might not put the dishes in
but she puts the 'her' in dishwasher
checkmate
I should have responded propepely. I think a 10x on my money seems fairly reasonable.
This is going to be a gut-check reactionary swing back to a con majority. Poilievre by franaphone last name should take Quebec.
Carney did not do well in the French debate today. Blanchet really went after him.
😂🤙
I know he declined most of the French debates. @npub1w4ds...3vhw is my only touch point for Canuck news now. After the covid 24/7 reel on CBC I turned off the TV & cut my cable
Same, but debates are my Super Bowl
I got a piece of paper saying I studied Canadian Poli for 4 yrs. The regime doesn't matter much to me, but I understand the draw
The regime matters for the campaign
Fair enough. My take There will be no Carney Regime, just as there was no Campbell regime. We are going to get 1-2 terms of con majority as the Treudea burnt the party to the ground holding power. The promise of UBI will be the next step into power for the Libs
Sounds plausible.
