Torching hardtack/ship's biscuit will have the same result.
It'll just char like that is doing.

That is very plausible. We'd need to torch a real biscuit a bitcoiner wife made or something.

Depending on my workload this weekend, I'll see if I can put some together.
A couple batches, and add Coco to one of them for color to match the Oreos.
Should make a interesting comparison.
