If he uses the right materials (ceramic, adhesive, etc.), prepares the surface correctly, plus a good technique, and everything according to the local weather, it should be fine for at least ten years. I just hope it's the right stuff because someone can slip on it and everything can end with jail and a lot of money to be paid for who knows what. 🤷
