It seems counter intuitive, but make sure to check in on those who you consider to be "strong" too...not just those who you consider vulnerable or weak. People usually think that the strong are doing fine and don't need to be checked in upon. While that may often be true, it isn't always true. Even Atlas could use some support or an occasional day off.

Make sure you take time to reach out to your friends and ask how they’re really doing. We live in an age where people think they know your life just by scrolling your feed, but that’s only the polished version. The reality is much more complicated. Everyone is navigating their own struggles, so never underestimate the power of a simple check-in.

💯 Often, the ones that seem the strongest are just the best at masking their struggle: a smile on the outside, chaos on the inside.

Brother, you have no idea how much truth there is to this statement. Sit down with a veteran, who has seen their fair share of combat, only for an hour and you'll realize why they seem so lonely and confused about so many important societal factors. Most just won't be able to understand or react appropriately. A big reason why i hate speaking to civilians about combat experience. They're either dismissive or condescending, from my experience.
