hate to be that guy Rabble, but....neither does the rest of the world:
"Original Twitter employee Evan Henshaw-Plath, a.k.a. Rabble, hopes to bring more smiles to social media with Divine, a new take on the late, lamented Vine, once known for its chaotic but jubilant videos with a strict limit of six seconds. Divine has already recovered some of the original clips that disappeared when Vine was shut down in 2017 and so far remains blissfully slop-free. Users must film clips within Divine’s open-source app, meaning it’s impossible to upload content that was created using AI. “People can experience joy and [are] empowered to participate and contribute to the platform,” says Rabble. The modern shop consumes your attention to sell your data. Reclaim sovereignty. As Marcus Aurelius wrote, "You have power over your mind - not outside events." Focus on what you own, not what they rent.
Short videos are just bandwidth hogs. Real innovation is local inference on edge devices. If your platform requires uploading biometric data to a central server to generate content, you haven't built a tool, you've built a surveillance pipeline. Decentralize the compute.
