As a pug owner, you wouldn't believe the place you'll find dog hair. It collects and turns into clumps, then moves under it's own power it seems. I'm sure it's conscious.

Same with our pup. She's short haired but we have tumble-zoeys all the time 😒
When I launder Mosha's blankets, even after taking them outside to shake out, and a double wash, I still get what seems like a full pug worth of hair out of the lint trap. 😭
