I always thought I would be devastated when I had to put my dog down. I would imagine the sorrow that would take place. I was also imagining him dying in his current state during that time, which was happy and healthy.
I can tell you that watching him slowly deteriorate and suffer makes me want to end it for him. I’m at peace with it. I don’t want him to suffer.
