We’ve been at our spot for about two months. This is where we are so far. A 5000 sq ft garden, including the paths. A mini pond for frogs. Mints and perennials in woodchips and compost. We’ve moved 40 yards of compost and over 100 of woodchips. In the Fall we will start planting more trees. We also have a 5000 sq ft meadow we are planting in the Fall with 100 different things from Milkweed and Sweet Williams to Coreopsis and Echinacea. Happy Growing Nostr! #farmstr #garden #permaculture

Congrats, proof of work showing through to be sure! For woodchips if you haven't i'd highly recommend looking into getting garden giant mushroom spores, they are more ammenable to light, taste great, and help those woodchips turn into beautiful soil over time!
Love to see it! We got extremely efficient at moving wood chips! Setting up the initial beds takes a ton of work but maintenance after year 1 makes it all worth it. No till is magic
Absolutely! This is my second time around. First time was no till too. There’s no cardboard or barrier and we aren’t expecting much this season, mostly going to cover crop it. Still trying some veg and flowers.
Since you’ve had the silage tarp down for a few months already the cardboard won’t be a big issue. We did the same. That’s more helpful if you’re starting with bare lawn and does help smother grass or maybe if there are heavy perennial weeds. But one of the most amazing things is how incredibly productive no-till can be right from the start, so don’t think for a second you can’t just plant right into those beds and get some amazing crops right away.
