Black Wall Street refers to the Greenwood District in Tulsa, Oklahoma, which was a prosperous African American community in the early 20th century, known for its thriving businesses and economic independence. It was devastated during the Tulsa Race Massacre in 1921, when white mobs attacked and destroyed much of the area, resulting in significant loss of life and property.
