It may be hard to believe but I was not aware of the current #bitcoin price when I joined nostr and was just vibe chatting about zeronet with GPT when it recommended nostr to me. I was personally feeling broken inside, suffice to say I was laid off and burned out, bills pilling up, had to move back into parents house and feeling like a pointless waste of space overall. HOWEVER, after being purple pilled by fucking ChatGPT, getting real interactions on nostr with people who believe what they’re doing some things began clicking. I believe the first zap I sent was on a note about “fix the money, fix the people”. That really resonated with me, so I fired up Wallet of Satoshi (which had 1k sats from playing thndr games a few years ago) and zapped that note. When I got fat zapped by nostr:npub1sg6plzptd64u62a878hep2kev88swjh3tw00gjsfl8f237lmu63q0uf63m in a technical-ish note I could feel this is real. Like, this is not a closed circlejerk nor an echo chamber of “only good vibes allowed” and definitely not a place for hypocrisy. This is a place where people build, listen and care. Fucking loving this.
