state communists think they can destroy the state by seizing control of the state, which fails because means which are not appropriate to their ends will always fail to reach them, becoming ends in themselves

marx himself ended up reaching the same conclusion after the paris commune, tbh. as soon as he died, tho, engels and the bolsheviks later on hid his writings, which were only made public by the soviets in the 1970s. too late, I guess?
part of why I can't understand how anyone can be a "marxist-leninist" anymore. even if you like marx
truth is 98% doesn't even know bout it cuz they hardly bothered to read the manifesto and 2% tries to justify it somehow to avoid entering into an existential crisis.
