The joy of Christ is so incredible and so many people think they are above him. Monumentally sad.

Yeah, people have thrown the baby out with the bathwater.
The bathwater is modern exoteric dogma, distorted interpretations of scripture, and egoic attachments.
The real deal teachings are very much on point and are not in conflict with teachings from other traditions, but many "independents" have been turned off by the exoteric nonsense of the dogmatists in the exoteric camps.
I am by no means a fan of “mainstream Christianity” or Protestant/Catholic orthodoxy. It is so much more than that. Literally a different ethereal plane.
