Ermil, a deacon, and Stratonic, a guard, were martyred for their faith. Ermil boldly confessed Christ during persecution, while Stratonic, secretly a Christian, was tormented by Ermil's suffering. When Stratonic's faith was revealed, both were condemned. After torture, they were drowned in the Danube River.
