Reminder that a Jewish woman poisoned the food of the Prophet pbuh. A Jewish woman named Zaynab bint al-Harith (the wife of Sallam ibn Mishkam) prepared a roasted sheep She inquired about which part of the sheep the Prophet ﷺ preferred most, and upon learning it was the foreleg (shoulder), she loaded it with a lethal poison and poisoned the rest of the meat as well, She offered the roasted sheep to the Prophet ﷺ as a gift, knowing that he accepted gifts but did not consume charity (sadaqah).
