@StevenB is the creator. The only curation that is happening is LNBeats is built to receive RSS feeds from the podcast index that are listed as music type feeds. Said music feeds are pulled from this open source repository:

The Podcast Index is here to preserve, protect and extend the open, independent podcasting ecosystem.

To appear in LNBeats you need only get a rss feed hosted somewhere and then submit it to the index. LNBeats does offer some curation, but only in the sense of a filter. It’s the only podcast/music app that shows you where the music is hosted and it will surface the #demu tracks easily. Here’s a tutorial I made that shows how to build and host a feed:
