if you follow someone who is live it will show at the top of your feed @RABBIT HOLE RECAP about to go live

If it’s the same as iOS, when someone you follow is streaming it will show in a banner at the top of your feed. Also, anyone streaming, whether you follow them or not, will have a “live” indicator on their profile pic, and a button/banner on their profile where you can open their stream.
