This is why freedom that matters, decentralization matters. If our systems prevent the outliers we are all doomed.
They explore sacrifice suffer and are ridiculed for it but there determination and curiosity will save us all. This is humanity's immune system in action. When major threats arise one of these outliers hold the solution. Centralize systems try to sever the link from the population so the solutions will never arrive. Putting our species at risk.
These materialize as attacks on free speech. Value price system being the most important signaling mechanism we have.
Moving at the speed of light with the power of total human compute.

It's profound and tragic at the same time. Human beings can be outliers and blaze new paths. Penguins can't do that so it probably led to an unfortunate and early death.
I disagree, this force is not intentional it's something greater. An evolutionarily optimal pressure that exists all the way down to the smallest bacteria, all forms of life show this similar behavior.
It is a species way to self preserve, prodding and testing all frontiers. Sending nodes into the darkness or depths, physical or psychological and across time, pushing back against over centralization.
It gets interesting when we can see this process increasing the number of nodes being sent. It's as if there's a sense of danger or risk ahead then life anticipates by sending out more scouts, pushing us to the extremes searching for solutions. Hardening the species to whatever we will face.
Major threats will always come. This is the only process life can use to survive.
After all why does bitcoin or nostr even exist. We are the penguin...
That penguin might look crazy, but it is on most important necessary and noble march suicidal or not.
