Imagine a treasure map that shows where a shiny coin is buried. Everyone wants to find the treasure, but only the first person to solve the puzzle on the map can dig it up and keep it. In Bitcoin, miners are like the treasure hunters. They solve a hard math puzzle, and when they find the answer, they get new Bitcoin as a reward. Everyone else checks the answer to make sure it’s correct. That way, no one can cheat and say they found the treasure when they didn’t. The map updates each time someone finds a new treasure, and everyone keeps a copy so the story of all treasures is never lost!
