2009: When we won our cause and students would go to school and university without paying bus or metro. I was 18 or 19 already. Posting to celebrate the 10 years of our iconic 2013, but as you can see, we started years before and already with some victories in many cities. 2013 has more attention because it started in São Paulo, one of the biggest city on Earth. image

How did these victors justify forcing others to pay for them to ride?
The student ticket has always been a just Latin American cause worth fighting for. In Argentina it also works. Many do not understand it because they do not know what it is to have quality public education as well as that the best universities are the public ones. It is not welfare, it is having an educated and professional people. Now that I am a professional I gladly pay my ticket so that others can educate themselves as well. Congratulations.
Yes. I realize most people who see in a bad way tax payer money going to this kind of things is because they usually live in a country where the tax only goes to war or anything that is definetelly not for the citizens. So they have an overall anger about tax in general. And yes, here in Brazil our public(and free) universities are the best.
