The UX problems with Nostr clients are front and center and very apparent in contrast with centralized solutions.
We know that the current state of key management is unsustainable for larger audiences. There seems to be promising progress in that regard.
I do agree that waves of adoption stimulate innovation but "recruiting" people to Nostr feels like "recruiting" people to Bitcoin. It's a pretty perilous endeavour.

I absolutely agree here and was just speaking to someone about this earlier in the week. The solution for now is to recommend Primal and Damus. They are simple, easy to use, and just work. They are the most stable. The issue with just doing that is that these two clients don't fully showcase the power of Nostr. They're mostly just kind 1 Twitter alternatives.
and primal is not a nostr client
people have been recruiting others to bitcoin at great cost and for a long time, even michael saylor, while you did nothing and just enjoyed the growth of your network effect while shitting on the same people who were putting in the work
