I like the idea of keeping important content on relays. I think space is cheap and bandwith is also cheap compared to CPU. Storing image on a relay seems doable instead of relying on another website.
I dont like the idea of breaking backwards compatibility. I seriously dont like the idea of bad user experience like missing images or missing events.
I dont like the idea of fighting since we are only a bunch of weirdos at this point. Lets take development slowly and thinking carefully. At this point the clients and relays are doing the most important thing which is survival of the flow of uncensorable and free information. We should congratulate ourselves and enjoy it for a while and build slowly on it and dont burn ourselves and our friendships.

love this and totally love that we are a bunch of weirdos 💜 I think it’s good to debate it out, so as long as it’s abt the issue and nothing personal.
On nip95 - what would you think are the pros and cons to it ?
Good to hear this 😊🤞
Not many opinions on 95. I have to read more carefully before saying much. At first look is kind=1065 really necessary?
But implementation timing, and caring about other clients is also important and some kind of syncing of features among devs would be optimal for Nostr overall.
Yea, needs and use cases, impact on all Nostr users and impact on other client matters. Also seems like a miscommunication on the NIP when it was shipped that led to an accidental discovery and other possibilities. I don’t know enough and was hoping to crash learn from you lol, but initially reminded me of ordinals and NFTs which I’m not fond off . Do think amethyst dev is brilliant and can leverage pain points and build better solution for everyone on Nostr
