I just recalled one thing that made me go "huh?" I forgot which store it was (EA store maybe?), but I wanted to buy something using my debit card, and when I hit purchase it refused to process the payment, mentioning that it only accepts credit cards. "???" So apparently there are stores out there that won't take money from you if you have it but will take money from you if you don't have it. After my brain processed everything and stopped being dumbfounded: "I guess we are living in a society 🤡"

This happens every time I try to buy stuff online now. shops just refuse to take my money or say there is an unknown error. Sometimes its the pre-paid visa cards I've used, some times its because my email address doesn't look official, and sometimes its because I'm on a VPN The end result is that it takes me 4+ attempts and 20 minutes to buy anything online with credit cards
Happened to me too years ago and the motive was beyond me, I don't like credit cards so I seldom use them, I use other methods like gift cards so I got used to it and never asked myself this again until now.
