This is why you're settled on lightning is good enough. Because you don't believe anything else can be done. That's just not true. You don't know what you don't know.

Lightning inherits the properties of the chain, if you 1000x the base unit then that means sub-sat Lightning channels become possible. Pointless, potentially spammy to where running a full node is impossible without 10TB of storage, but possible.
