Do not venture into the global feed unless you are prepared to see some crazy shit. And if you do feel adventurous, I don’t recommend browsing global in public.

Which client do you use mostly?
Amethyst on Android is soo good. Primal is good for discovering new stuff when I've already browsed my feed too deep
⬆️⬆️⬆️ This. It's really good that Primal keeps you off Global by default.
Global can be pretty bad, especially if you've got the Fediverse bridge relay mostr.pub setup.
I use Damus on iPhone and Primal and Coracle on my laptop every day. I like Primal notifications and I browse the trending feeds to catch up on things when I wake up or am away for a while. Coracle has the best thread view and web of trust which help filter out spammers and trolls from my feed.
