Please do! It seems midwifery is dominated by mostly new age types, at least where I’m at. My wife wants to get into lactation consulting. I think Orthodox mothers would be great for the home birth world

Thank you for the encouragement. I’ve noticed the same about a lot of new age types in midwifery too. Attending Christ-filled births with icons (especially Theotokos), Orthodox chants, and prayers would be amazing. I’d love to be a midwife that supports many of the mom’s locally in Church. I pray your wife finds a suitable path for lactation consulting. That kind of support for women is absolutely needed. I would like to do that as well!

Definitely. That’s great you had a home birth too. It was the best decision I’ve ever made too. I felt so supported by my husband and in awe of how perfectly everything is created by God - the fact that your body just knows exactly what to do if left undisturbed. Truly amazing!
