I have a three year old and he sees me carving all day. When he wants to, he can take the knife and try, but I stop everything I'm doing, sit him with me and teach him proper use. It happens really often with most activities. Haha kids!

It's neat that you do that. Kid has you nearby and learns the craft too. My boys are year and half apart, so sitting with one started to be possible just recently 😬
