Chile was the only country in South America that embraced capitalism with rapid growth, until it moved closer to socialism “in pursuit of equality” and has been stagnant for more than a decade. Argentina is going in the opposite direction. After decades of socialist stagnation, it decided to embrace capitalism. Now it is at the top of the list.
